ABOUT ME

 

My name is Lucy Norman, I live in Coltishall with my husband and two cats. I enjoy cooking, travelling and spending time with my friends and family enjoying the countryside. I am 33 years old and have worked with children for 13 years as a Teaching Assistant & Teacher in nurseries & schools, in holiday clubs and looking after children in their homes during the school holidays. I have recently decided to leave full time teaching to focus on caring for children in their homes. Enabling me to use my skills and pursue my passion for early education with smaller groups out of a formal school setting.





My Qualifications & Experience;

 

  • I have Qualified Teacher Status and a BA Honours Degree in Early Years Education.

  • I am a member of the Professional Association for Childcare & Early Years and hold public liability insurance.

  • I am registered with Ofsted as a nanny (home childcarer).

  • I have completed paediatric first aid training and passed a criminal records check enabling me to work with children.

  • I have experience working with children with a range of special educational and medical needs. I am also experienced working with children with English as a second language.

  • I have a particular passion in developing children's social and emotional needs.

  • I also have a special interest developing children's early reading and writing skills through play activities.

  • I have participated in early language development training to support children with speech and language difficulties.
